Will FertilitySmart work if I've had my tubes tied?

If you have had your tubes tied (also called a tubal ligation) this is a physical procedure designed to prevent conception by either severing or blocking the fallopian tube which would normally carry an egg from the ovary to the uterus. It is designed to be permanent. This procedure has about a 1% failure rate - tubes do sometime grow back. But in most cases another surgical procedure would have to be carried out to reverse the tubal ligation.

Reversal works best for women who are healthy and younger than 38 years old. The best results happen if it has been 10 years or less since the original surgery, and if only small sections of the middle of the tubes were damaged.

If your tubal ligation reversal is successful, then FertilitySmart Conceive might help you to fall pregnant.
